=== Instructions for playing Dogfight City, Demo version ===
After you launch the Dogfight City demo, you will be situated in an observation tent on one end of the runway. To get started flying, select "Takeoff Practice" from the Takeoff/Landing Practice menu. This will put you in a Spitfire, ready to take off. You are in the 'Pause' mode whenever the menu line is visible. To enter the active mode, click in the middle of the screen. The cursor will switch to a little black dot. Then use the "=" key to throttle up. (There are 6 positions, when you have entered full throttle, the manifold pressure [upper far right gauge] will read about 68 pounds.) Use the mouse (or joystick) in the usual manner. (Forward and back control elevator, left and right control ailerons. Press 'space bar' to center the flight controls.) To Pause the program press "P". The cursor will return to the normal arrow and you will see the menu line reappear. You can see the keyboard commands by selecting "Keyboard Commands…" from the Settings menu.
You can select items from the "Dogfights" and "BFM Training" areas to see what type of scenarios they represent. But when you click "Okay", you will simply hear a beep. This means these items are disabled and do not work on the demo version. You will have to click "Cancel" to exit the dialog box. Also, the Multi-Player options are disabled.
The complete Takeoff/Landing Practice area of the program is available in the Demo. You can sample the flight dynamics, practice landing and fly around, even shoot down other aircraft.
By the way, you will not get pilot credit for shooting down aircraft in the 'Takeoff/Landing Practice' area.
